Who we are.
The Musicians World (“TMW”, “we”, “us”) provides online music education and community. We follow POPIA (South Africa)

What we collect.

• You give us: name, email, password, country/region, course selections, messages to support, community posts, practice uploads.

• Automatic: device/usage data, IP, approximate location, cookies.

• From others: payment confirmations from our payment processors; analytics/video hosts (aggregated metrics).
  We don’t store full card numbers.

How we use data.

• Provide and improve the platform, track progress, process payments, prevent fraud, support you, send service updates.

• Send optional marketing (only with your consent; you can opt out anytime).
  Legal bases: contract necessity, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.

Sharing.
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with:

• Service providers (hosting, payments, analytics, email, video), bound by contracts;

• Instructors/moderators for feedback and safety in community spaces;

• Law/regulators when required;

• Business transfers if we merge or restructure.

International transfers.
Your data may be stored/processed outside your country. When required, we use safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

Retention.
We keep data while your account is active and as needed for legal/accounting purposes, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights.
Depending on your location: access, correct, delete, restrict/object, portability, and withdraw marketing consent.
Email pw@themusiciansworld.com with “Privacy Request” to exercise rights. We may need to verify your identity.

Your content.
You own your uploads. You grant TMW a limited license to host and display them to run the Service. We’ll seek separate permission to use your content in marketing.

Children.
Under-13s (or local minimum age) should use the platform via a parent/guardian account.

Security.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls). No system is 100% secure.

Cookies.
We use necessary, preference, analytics, and (with consent) marketing cookies. Manage cookies in your browser and via our cookie settings (if available).

Changes.
We may update this Policy and will post the new date above.
